- 内容提要:大觉寺是千年古寺, 历史文化悠久, 地处北京西山风景名胜区.从辽代清水院始, 至金, 明, 清时期皆为皇家敕造寺庙, 属于北京地区早期的寺庙园林之一,1979年和2006年先后被评为市级文物保护单位和全国重点文物保护单位.1991年, 大觉寺在一次修缮中发现了这批从未披露过的契约文书, 在北京的众多寺庙中, 仅在西郊万寿寺和大觉寺有本寺地契约文书遗存, 价值连城.
