Summary:
Manuscript is part of Kālidāsa's well known poem, from the middle of the third chapter to the end of the seventh chapter, about the birth of the Hindu deity Skanda-Kārttikeya, dealing with the mythology of the relationship between the deities Pārvatī (Gaurī) and Śiva, their courtship and marriage. A commentary by Mallinātha runs parallel above and below the root text. Manuscript is incomplete.

Written in 9-12 lines per leaf.
92 leaves foliated 61-126, 1-26, upper left and lower right verso.
Colophon: iti śrīśrīkumārasaṃbhave mahākāvye kaviśrīkālikdāsakṛtau gaurīpariṇayano nāmasaptaḥ sargaḥ 7 (f. 26r).
Dated saṃvat 1856 (1799) (f. 26v).
