Summary:
Ruled volume written in pencil with red covers containing recipes for drinks. "R. W. Herron's receipts" is written on the inside front cover. Recipes include bitters, wines, champagnes (both still and sparkling), beers, curacaos, brandies, ciders, punches, sodas, and seltzers. In addition, there is one recipe for baking powder and two formulas for blacking. R. W. Herron is probably from Australia. The volume is from a stationers in Melbourne, Australia, as indicated on the inside front cover. At the top of the page reading from back of the volume is written "Australian brewers' journal of recipes." Printed calendars for the years 1892 and 1893 are printed on the inside back cover.
