- Summary:
- Form and Analysis in Mayan Linguistics (FAMLi) is a biannual meeting of linguists working on Mayan languages. Since the first meeting in 2010, FAMLi actively has broaden communications with scholars from all areas of theoretical and methodolgical perspectives and all levels of linguistic backgrounds. In response to this, the FAMLi acronym changed in 2012 from "Formal Approaches" to "Form and Analysis". The second meeting was held August 3-4, 2012 in the Kaqchikel-speaking municipality of Patzún, Guatemala, in conjunction with Corpus-based Approaches to Mayan Linguistics (CAML), which took place August 1-2, 2012, also in Patzún.
