Ms. Nasreen is one the few women in her country who have dared to call for more freedom for the women of Bangladesh. The film puts her story in the context of the condition suffered by women in Bangladesh. The film includes footage of Begum Zia, the premier of Bangladesh who, surprisingly, is a woman.
