Summary:

Examines both clinical experience and empirical evidence about the role that emotions play in psychotherapy. The author explores the relevance of emotion for psychotherapy, theory, and practice and provides sources for understanding the structure and the circumplex model of applied dynamics of emotions in general as well as their implications for psychotherapy. The author examines how the circumplex model of emotions can explain extremes of psychopathology and the normal existential issues faced by everyone.
