Manuscript is a commentary on the eighth part (sarga) of Kālidāsa's poem about the birth of the Hindu deity Skanda (Kārttikeya). Originally part of a larger work.
Notes:
Title from internal colophon (f. 6r).
Written in 13 lines per leaf.
13 leaves foliated 1-13, upper left verso, and foliated 168-180, lower right verso.
Colophon: iti śrī ā[nanda]devātmajavallabhādevaviracitāyāṃ kumārasaṃbhavalaghuṭīkāyāṃ [??]tasārāy[ā]ṃ [ā]ṣṭamasarga / samāptaḥ // 8 // (f. 13v).
Mistakes blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; vertical margins marked with double black line; written in a script usually seen in Jain works.
Dated saṃvat 1668 (1611) (f. 13v).
