Imprint date conjectured from biographical data. An advertisement for the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway on p. [50] names E. St. John as general manager, which position he held from 1887-1894 (cf. Poor's directory of railway officials 1887, p. 43, and 1888, p. 21, and 18th annual report of the Board of Railroad Commissioners for the year ending June 30, 1895, State of Iowa, p. 162), and John Sebastian as general ticket and passenger agent, which position he held from 1889-1902 (cf. Official guide of the railways and steam navigation lines of the United States ..., 35th year, no. 20 (Juy 1902), p. xxvi).
