- Summary:
- Small leather volume with stamped decorated borders containing an inventory of Mrs. Marshall's furniture in Beausite Villa at Torquay, England. The cover of the volume is stamped J. Murray, House Agent, Auctioneer &c., Torquay. Following the first page is an inventory of the villa divided by room. The list of items is written on the verso of each leaf with some notations for items on the recto. The inventory for rooms are as follows: drawing room, dining room, breakfast room, library, linen, hall and conservatory, stair case and landing, no. 1 bedroom, no. 2 bedroom, no. 3 dressing room, no. 4 bedroom, no. 5 bedroom, pantry, plate, bedroom down stairs, kitchen, store room, larder, wash house, bath room, and water closet. The inventory is not exclusively limited to furniture. It includes rugs, paintings, family portraits, photographs, china, decorative objects, books, and some clothing.
