Summary:
First part of manuscript (f. i-iv) instruction for performing the thread ceremony for the top three castes. Second part of manuscript is a collection of Vedic mantras (words or phrases of power) praising the deity Rudra (a Vedic form of the Hindu god Śiva). The text is more commonly known as the Rudram or the Śatarudrīya from the Yajurveda.

Written in 7-9 lines per leaf.

Incipit: bāṇavāṃ uta // ane śannasyeṣava ābhurasya niṣaṃ gathiḥ // (f. 3r).
Mistakes covered over in yellow or blacked out; some corrections and additions in margins; significant syllables, words, or phrases highlighted in red throughout; vertical margins marked with double red (f. i-iv) and double black (f. 3-17) line.
