Kaplan Collection copy has autograph of Samuel Martin in brown ink on front free endpaper (dated 1825) and verso of blank leaf following last printed leaf; German ms. notes by Martin recording his birth in 1785 (in brown ink) and his marriage to Margaret Lodt[?] on 19 November 1826 (in black ink) on front free endpaper; German ms. notes in brown ink by Martin recording their inscription in 1825, his birth in 1785 and his baptism on 9 January 1785 on verso of front free endpaper.
Kaplan Collection copy: p. 47-48 torn across central portion; leaves closely cropped at head margin with occasional damage to page number.
