WHEELER") stamped in gold on cover.

- The illustrations from Peterson's magazine are by various artists, among them Robert Beyschlag, William Adolphe Bouguereau, Eden Upton Eddis, James Hayllar, Edward Lamson Henry, Johann Georg Meyer von Bremen, Joshua Reynolds and Frederick B. Schell; most were engraved by Illman Brothers.
