Title within ornamental borders; ornamental head- and endpieces and initials.
The text body in set in Scotch roman and printed on Strathmore paper in two colors. An edition of 1000 was bound in stamped flexible leather. The regular edition was also bound in stamped flexible leather. Additional binding variants include paper over boards, full Levant and a stamped stiff variegated leather similar to a Levant leather binding. The stiff variegated leather bound book was printed in four colors on Strathmore paper. The title page although unsigned, is believed to be by Dard Hunter.----cf. Roycroft Books [online resource]
"So here endeth the goodly book entitled Hollyhocks and goldenglow, as written by Elbert Hubbard and embellished with special initials and ornaments by Roycroft artists. Done into a printed book by the Roycrofters at their shop, which is in East Aurora, New York State, in the year MCMXII"--Colophon.

Roycroft 313 bound in stamped brown leather. Cover has title in panel at top, name of author in panel at bottom, oval floral panels at sides, a signed design by Lorenz Schwartz, teg. Inscribed to Carlota V. Sanborn from Luther M. Kilson.
Roycroft 314 bound in brown paper wrappers, with black title and foliate ornament on cover.
