"The book announced here may be had of your bookseller or from Harper & Brothers, the publishers, at the price mentioned on the preceding page."
"Here are ballads and folk songs of Kentucky. They tell of feuds and ill-starred loves, of witch women and mountain charms. Some of the poems are humorous, some darkly tragic, but all of them vibrate with human emotion. Mr. Helton's black and white drawings strikingly convey the spirit of his verse."
