- Comprises three letters to Benjamin Schleifer. The first letter dated 4 September 1941 is from John Crowe Ransom, editor of The Kenyon review rejecting Schleifer's poetry submission. The second letter is a handwritten letter from poet Brant Shoemaker dated 21 October 1969 concerning Schleifer's introduction of Shoemaker at an event. Included with the letter is a typescript of Shoemaker's poem God of war signed by the author. The third letter dated 19 August 1977 is from author Judy Stone regarding her book party held in conjunction with the publication of Stone's The mystery of B. Traven.
