One handwritten leaf from a diary by an unnamed writer, spanning from May to December 1803. The date of the month is written in the left margin. Each entry is one to two lines in length. The diarist recorded the weather, historical events, negotiations between England and France, the purchase of a house, and in December the birth of a son named James.
