Summary:
Manuscript used for contemplation and study and is a philosophical treatise and summary of Advaita (non-dualism) Vedānta doctrine, possibly derived from verses of the Atharvaveda, but typically attributed to Śaṅkarācārya.
Notes:
Title from colophon (f. 4r).
Written in 10-12 lines per leaf.
4 leaves foliated 1-4, upper left and lower right verso.
Colophon: iti śrīmatparamahaṃsaparivrājakācāryasaṃkarācāryakṛta ātmabodhaḥ samāptaḥ (f. 4r).
Dated śaka 17-- and saṃvat 18--, with only the century number indicated, which establishes a date range of 1778-1842 for the manuscript.
Mistakes covered in yellow or crossed out; corrections and addition in margins; verse numbers highlighted in red at beginning of text; one folio covered with yellow turmeric powder to help protect manuscript from insects (f. 3).
