Manuscript is used for contemplation and recitation and is an early, post-Vedic philosophical work presented as a dialogue between the ancient Hindu mythic figures Yājñavalkya and Janaka, who discuss a range of topics including the nature of Kurukṣetra (well known as a battle field and a place of sacrifice), rites and ceremonies, and others.
