- This volume is the product of the July 2006 Conference on Equine Sports Medicine and Science, which focused on the management and rehabilitation of injured sports horses. Thirteen articles present information on diagnosis and management of superficial digital flexor tendonitis and paratendonitis, diagnosis and management of proximal suspensory desmitis, a system for monitoring of training and disease of thoroughbreds in the UK, diagnosis of ostearthritis and traumatic joint disease, and the application of human athlete medicine to sports horses.
