Summary:
Order by Benito Pérez Valdelomar, the governor of the Yucatán, regulating the selling and distribution of maize during a crop shortage. The order includes instructions that it be distributed widely and translated into Mayan. The order is dated April 7, 1804, at Mérida. A scribal addition states that this manuscript is a true copy of the original in the governor's office and that it was made April 11, 1804. Signed by the secretary Marcelino Antonio Pinelo. The manuscript bears the date 1809 in a later hand at its head.
