Summary:

Manuscript is used for contemplation and study and is a Hindu philosophical treatise and super-commentary written from the perspective of, and reflecting on the doctrine of, the Vivaraṇa branch of the Advaita (non-dualism) Vedānta school of philosophy, which seeks to explain the root cause of ignorance (avidyā). The text is a super-commentary reflecting on Sureśvarācārya's Sambandhavārtika, which is itself a commentary and reconfiguration, in poetic verse, of Śaṅkarācārya's Br̥hadāraṇyakopaniṣadbhāṣya.
