Summary:
"David Amram is a renaissance man of American music. He's best known as composer of the score for the landmark 1959 Beat film "Pull My Daisy," music which accompanies the narration by Jack Kerouac. A pioneer player of jazz French horn, Amram is also a virtuoso on piano, flutes and whistles, drums, and dozens of folkloric instruments from 25 countries. He's also an inventive, funny improvisational lyricist and scat singer. In this compilation of Amram performances and speeches, and Washington Square Park interview, we encounter his multiple gifts."--Container.
