First edition 1688. In the present edition some of the plates have been altered to bring he costume into the fashion of the time of republication. Cf. A.W. Tuer, Old London street cries (1885), p. 7.
Seventy-four plates, including 2 engraved title leaves (plates 1 and 37) after M. Lauron (Laroon). The plates were probably engraved by John Savage; some authorities, however, attribute part of the engraving to Laroon or to Tempest. Cf. Dict. nat. biog., Bryan's Dict. of painters and engravers, etc.
