- Summary:
- Predominant part of the manuscript (Part 1) is used for contemplation and study and is a Hindu philosophical treatise and commentary (dīpikā) on the Kauṣītakibrāhmaṇopaniṣad, which deals with various kinds of Vedic, ritual sacrifice and their interpretation written from the perspective of the Advaita (non-dualism) Vedānta school of philosophy. The second part of the manuscript (Part 2), originally part of a different manuscript and added to supply the source material to the dīpikā, is itself a kind of Hindu treatise and manual dealing with various kinds of Vedic ritual sacrifice and their interpretation, sometimes bringing early forms of philosophical exegesis to bear on early rituals.
