Manuscript is used for contemplation, study, and recitation and is a Hindu treatise and manual dealing with various kinds of Vedic ritual sacrifice and their interpretation, sometimes bringing early forms of philosophical exegesis to bear on early rituals.

Scribe is Bhānudeva, son of Narasiṃha, of the famous pilgrimage center of Vārāṇasī (f. 23r).
