Summary:
In Italian Somaliland, in 1934, the foreman on a plantation falls in love with the owner's daughter. The owner does not approve of the match and promptly fires the foreman. At loose ends, the fired foreman is advised to 'go native' and find a native wife. He chooses an already-married woman, who is so enamored with him, she feeds him a potion which will cause him to stay with her forever.
