A compilation of articles and essays written and selected by Néstor Murray-Irizarry, the founder of Casa Paoli, the Puerto Rico Center for Folkloric Research. These writings were selected based on three fundamental criteria: themes of most interest to Murray-Irizarry in his study of Puerto Rican culture, new contributions to the discussion of the people's concerns, and the enrichement of the cultural heritage of the people who live on the Caribbean and Ibero-American island of Puerto Rico.
