- Johann Haner was a Catholic preacher, who had been in contact at an early stage with several Reformed theologians, including Oecolampadius and Zwingli, but who stayed in the Catholic fold and defended Catholic doctrine. This tract, first published in 1534 addresses the question of repentance, and is specifically directed against the Lutheran theologians of Wittenberg.
