Part 2 includes "A short supplement to the essay of the great effects of even languid and unheeded local motion" (p. 129-149).
A reissue of the 1685 edition. The title page is a cancel; in part 2, new quires ²E⁸ ²F⁶ cancel original ²E1; ²G8 is cancelled by new quires ²H-L.
Title within double-ruled border.
Errors in signatures: ²B1 and ²B3 signed as K1 and K3, respectively.

Boyle Collection copy is from the Edgar Fahs Smith Memorial Collection, with a pictorial bookplate on front pastedown and verso of rear flyleaf that reads "The Edgar Fahs Smith Memorial Collection University of Pennsylvania."

Boyle Collection copy bound in full brown leather; five raised bands on spine; spine panels tooled in black with double-line fillets; brief title stamped in gilt on a black leather label in second spine panel; author stamped in gilt on a black leather label in third panel; date of imprint stamped in gilt at foot of spine; all edges speckled red.
Boyle Collection copy has an ownership inscription on recto of front flyleaf in brown ink of the bibliographer Gilbert Richard Redgrave: "Ex libris Gilbert R. Redgrave Thriftwood, Silverdale, Sydenham, London. Sept. 15th 1906." followed by an ms. list of the contents of the volume and ms. bibliographic notes, signed "G.R.R."
Boyle Collection copy has an autograph at head of t.p. in brown ink that has been partially cropped: "J. L. Rebow[?] 173[?]".
