- Summary:
- On May 13, 1985, a long-running conflict between MOVE, an organization of primarily African-American nihilists, and the Police Department of the City of Philadelphia erupted in a violent confrontation. After some noisy violence, whose source and effect remains murky, a Police Department helicopter dropped several pounds of military-grade explosive on the West Philadelphia rowhome which had been serving as MOVE compound. This film uses contemporary footage to show the beginnings of the conflict, its tragic outcome, and some of the long-term effects.
