Notes:
Title from card affixed to container.
Nicolle was resident at rue de Seine, no. 12, from 1814-1820. Vanackère ceased printing in 1811 and resumed in 1820. Cf. their entries in CERL Thesaurus (thesaurus.cerl.org) [Internet resource].
Pasteboard case (11 x 7.5 x 2.5 cm.) containing 48 cards, each with portrait and biography of a figure from Roman history, and sheet with directions for play ("Règles du Jeu"). Cf. O'Donoghue.
