- Summary:
- A drama set in New York in which Sara Rogers, a Black woman philosophy professor is married to a painter. In the marriage her stable, rational personality acts as a buffer to her husband's more instinctual, artistic approach to life. Feeling limited by this too intellectual definition of herself, Sara goes in search of ecstasy, and winds up on a student movie set playing the vengeful vamp Frankie from the legendary "Frankie and Johnnie" song of Black mythology.
