How can we understanding the connections between religion and war? Is religious work for peace irrevocably liked to the religious work for peace irrevocably linked to the religious support of war? It may in fact be that peace work can be aided by knowledge about the role of religion in promoting violence. The essays within contemplate the many elements of the influence of religion and fundamentalism on conflicts all over the world, including case studies of hostilities in Sri Lanka, Rwanda, and in the global jihadi war.
