The three officials had negotiated with the Archdukes Albrecht and Isabel and Marquis Spinola to turn over the city of Tiel to Spain. They were found out and sentenced to death.

Culture Class Collection copy is no. 7 in a collection of 16 decrees against the Remonstrants condemned by the Synod of Dort, against Joan and Reynier van Oldenbarnevelt, and others. All pamphlets are in Dutch; most of them were printed at The Hague (one at Rotterdam and one at Leyden). Included are 15 plates; some are portraits; a few are folded; most are engravings by Claes Janszoon Visscher.
