Poet, novelist, essayist, political activist Albert Béville (1915-1962), his pen name Paul Niger, has left his left mark on Black African and Caribbean literature as well as the political history of the Antilles and Guyana. This biography traces for the first time the path of the writer based on unpublished archives. The author also sheds light on the circumstances of Béville's unsolved death in the crash of an Air France Boeing on June 22, 1962 in Guadeloupe.
