Editio princeps, but probably not a tru Simplicius text but rather from a Greek version based on the Latin translation of William of Moerbeke, from the original Greek text by Simplicius. Cf. see Kallendorf & Wells, Aldine Press books at the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center and Renouard.
Imprint date of 1526 possibly using the Venetian calendar; actual date possibly 1527; see Ahmanson-Murphy (no. 241)
