- Notes:
- First edition of the earliest separate bibliography of philosophy. The first part consists of a chronological list of the the writings of the philosophers from 2162 B.C. to the end of the 15th century, followed by an alphabetical list of the names of 16th century philosophers, decade by decade. The second part consists of a bibliography of the Church Fathers down to the year 1140 (the period of the scholastics). At the end are separate alphabetical indexes for each part. "A work of distinct value, which later formed the basis of more systematic bibliographies of philosophy" (Besterman). Cf. bookseller's description.
