Privilege statement (on verso of leaf P6) names Jacobus Mazochius as bookseller: Iulius II Pont. Max. edicto uetuit nequis hunc librum imprimat neue imprimi permittat, siquis contra hinc ad XXV an. fecerit anathema sit noxamque Iacobo Mazochio bibliopole pendat.
Corrected by A. Mucius whose name appears in colophon as "Andream Nucium."
Local Notes:
Culture Class Collection copy has armorial bookplate of Baron Horace de Landau (interlocking H's and L's beneath a crown) with stamped accession number "47946" on front pastedown.
Culture Class Collection copy in unidentified elaborate gold stamped binding; binding has two gilt roll borders enclosing a central panel with flowers and ornaments and a central medallion above which is a gilt crossed-key device.
Culture Class Collection copy was no. 670 in "Catalogo della mostra storica della legatura artistica in Palazzo Pitti" (Firenze, 1922) with label reading: Mostra storica della legatura artistica in Palazzo Pitti. Firenze 1922. Numero 670 del catalogo.
