The French translation includes the notes in the printed work as well as original notes concerning the French. Oudin's translations were published as early as 1611. Penn Libraries copy has partially illegible early ms. inscription ("Bethaniae ad Oderam [...]o Arg.[?] Ao 57"), possibly indicating that the ms. portion of this volume was written in Beuthen (now Bytom, Poland) in 1657, in brown ink on front pastedown.
