- Summary:
- Commentary on the summary of arithmetical operations by the late 13th- and early 14th-century scholar Ibn al-Bannāʼ. Demonstrates with examples the calculation of sums involving fractional numbers and square roots. Extensive marginal notes on a few leaves (p. 20-35). The first leaf is missing and the text ends abruptly. Several leaves have restored outer margins. Pages 189-194 missing text because of conservation after water damage.

- Pagination: 159 leaves; [1-55, i-ii, 56-151, i-ii, 152-165, 164-273, 174-179, 280-312], later pagination in blue ink, upper center. Catchwords on each leaf, lower left verso, many obscured by past water damage.
- Layout: Written in 24 long lines.
- Script: Written in maghribi script in brown ink; pointed. Headings in larger script.
- Decoration: Calculations in red ink. Numerous tables in red and brown ink.
- Binding: Later red leather, blind-stamped with central mandorla, two pendants on the vertical axis, cornerpieces and frame; rebacked. Marbled doublure.
- Origin: Written in northern Africa, probably Morocco, in the 15th or 16th century.
- Watermarks: Laid European paper with grape watermark.
