Manuscript is used for public or private recitation or prayer and worship (pūjā) of the Great Goddess of Hinduism, sometimes referred to simply as Devī (goddess). Text praises a thousand different names of the goddess and is from a larger work known as the Rudrayāmala, a Tantric Śaiva work.
