- Title page transposed: contents and edition statement appear before author statement.
- The second edition was printed as part of his "Workes", 1627.
- Apparently intended to be issued with his "Workes", 1639, but not present in any known copy.
- Signatures: *⁸ a⁴ B-3A⁸.

- Local Notes:
- Culture Class Collection copy has armorial bookplate of "Rich[ar]d Massie Esq. of Coddington Cheshire" on front pastedown. The bookplate probably belonged to Richard Massie (1715-1770) and was designed in Jacobean style around the year 1730. Cf. W.J. Hardy, Book Plates, London 1897.
- Culture Class Collection copy has several ownership inscriptions on title page: "Richard Massie [?]ay-Hall 1749", "Peter Snead" and "Mary Jones of Pantiochyn[?] 1728", some of them written twice.
- Culture Class Collection copy has ownership inscriptions: "Peter Snead his booke", "Peter Snead is true owner of this booke", "Jhon[?] Snead 1646" on verso of leaf *6.
