Summary:
Are social classes pre-determined? This vintage film aims to examine this question during an era when many citizens of various races and social classes were still not extended complete civil rights. This 1957 documentary follows three boys from three different social classes in the United States. It is a fascinating look at the history of socioeconomic determinism in the U.S. that tries to push the idea that social classes in America are determined before people are born, despite what we like to believe.
