It is an unusual case in which the printer took the standing type of the folio edition and divided it up to make this 8vo printing. A full discussion may be found in Oliver L Steele Jr.'s "The Case of the Planters of Tobacco in Virginia, 1733: An Extraordinary use of Standing Type" in Studies in Bibliography Papers of the Bibliographical Society of the University of Virginia, vol. V (1952-1952) p. 184-6.
