Culture Class Collection copy has portion of printed leaf, from an edition of Santi Pagnin's (1470-1541) "Thesaurus linguae sanctae sive lexicon hebraicum", used as binder's waste.
Culture Class Collection copy has sticker on front endpaper which reads "Bo[ugh]t of G E Littlefield July 1907".
Culture Class Collection copy has ms. notes on first leaf.
Culture Class Collection copy has autograph of Will Hirst on title page and ms. note which reads "Wm. Hirst Brother to Madam Price wife of Major Walter Price. Grandfather of Walter Price Bartlett" on verso of A5 leaf. William Hirst (c1649-1717) was one of the larger property owners in Salem, Massachussetts in the late 17th c. and it's likely that he bought this book at its issue in 1687. He was also a selectman. See for brief bio "Legislators of the Massachusetts General Court, 1691-1780:A Biographical Dictionary," p251. His sister is Elizabeth Price nee Hirst (?-1750) wife of Major Walter Price (1676-1731) [later captain].
