Europe's glory: or, Peace & plenty to the people thereof : being a projection or, a scheam of reasonable terms, for establishing a firm and general peace, between the monarch of Great Britain, including all the confederate princes, and the French King : whereby, 'tis proposed, in a few years, to reimburse, and make good, the past and present depending charges of the wars, not only to the King of Great Britain, the Parliament and people of England; but also, to repay the states of Holland, and the French King, their whole expence and charges they have been at, in and about the same : provided, the following methods, or the matter and substance thereof, be comply'd with, undertaken, and executed. All which is proposed to be effected with one tenth part of one years charge, each of the three govenments are now yearly at, without any further cost or expence to the people of England, Holland, or France; whereby the trade and commerce of all Europe would speedlly flourish, the inhabitants increase in wealth; and grow to a far greater degree in riches than ever they have done. The revenues and territories of England and France, with the dominions of Holland, would be severally enlarged, and by this undertaking, each of them and their trades so vastly extended, that a general good would ensue to the subjects of these three governments, and the rest of Europe, in a little time. / By Thomas Houghton, of Lyme-street, Gent.
