Biography/History:
Sanskrit grammarian, likely from West Bengal, dated to the late twelfth or thirteenth century.
Summary:
Manuscript contains a regional (Bengali) interpretation of Pāṇini's system of Sanskrit grammar along with an analysis of Prakrit grammar. Manuscript contains seven different sections drawn from different parts of Kramadīśvara's larger grammatical work and is likely a condensed version for the purpose of study and/or teaching. Manuscript contains an unknown running commentary above and below the main text.
