- Summary:
- Fragment of Historia flendae crucis et funeris Jesu Christi on a paper leaf used in a binding. Probably copied from a printed edition of the devotional poem, which was first published in 1477, as the manuscript text largely follows the printed punctuation and paragraph divisions, although it is abbreviated differently from the edition printed in 1494. The text on the leaf is from the beginning of Book 2 of the poem; an ornamental 2-line initial in ink marks the beginning of the book. Written in 21 lines of verse on each page, in cursive Gothic script; possibly trimmed at the top of the leaf, without loss of text. Unclear offset images of text in more formal script from another manuscript leaf, likely also used in the binding, in the verso left margin.
