Notes:

Bluish lined stationary, 42.4 X 27.5 cm., folded to 21.2 cm. X 27.5 cm. Address and postmarks on right side of leaf. Recto is blank.

Pertains to the printing of Naʼeh le-hodot by Rabbi Nissim Avraham Ashkenazi of Izmir, the writer's uncle, and the purchasing and printing of additional books from the publisher.

Letter dated 21 Elul 622 [16 Sept. 1862]. Postmarks dated "16 Sept. '62, Smyrne, Turquie" and "21 Set. 1862, Livorno". In a separate hand, inscription of date of receipt, "Ottobre 2, 1862".
