Summary:
15th-century copy of Books III (al-Amrāḍ al-juzʼīyah, diseases arranged by part of the body), IV (al-Amrāḍ allatī lā takhuṣṣ bi-ʻuḍwin bi-ʻaynih, diseases not specific to particular organs), and V (al-Adwiyah al-murakkabah, compound drugs, ointments, and electuaries) from a 13th-century manuscript of Avicenna's medical encyclopedia. The colophon of the 13th-century manuscript states that it was edited by Muḥammad ibn Abī Shujāʻ ibn Muḥammad ibn ʻAlī al-Kātib. The paper is brittle from oxidation; some repairs have been made.

Layout: Written in 51 long lines.
Script: Written in naskh in black ink; pointed; headings in slightly larger script.
Decoration: Headings and significant words and phrases in red ink; textblock outlined in ink.
Binding: Brown leather over board with flap (Type II); blind stamped central mandorla with two pendants on the vertical axis; flap has coordinating stamp; plain paper doublure; rebound.
Origin: Probably copied in the 15th century (based on the paper), from a source manuscript dated 9 Ramadan, A.H. 608 (1212 CE, f. 182r).
